I spent years behind the counter at major agencies, and I am finally breaking my silence on the Port Charlotte car rental industry. While you are busy planning a trip to Charlotte Harbor or driving down US-41 to reach the Port Charlotte Town Center, big-name companies are betting on your ignorance to pad their quarterly earnings. When you see a base rate that looks attractive, you are only seeing the tip of the iceberg before they stack on airport surcharges, recovery fees, and ridiculous insurance up-sells that double your total at checkout. The truth is simple: the big players thrive on complexity because it masks the massive premiums they charge. While they force you to pay an average of $65 per day—totaling $455 per week—you are essentially lighting your vacation budget on fire. At Hooptie, we do things differently. We believe that getting around SW Florida shouldn't require a credit check or a second mortgage. We offer a flat rate of $200 per week, which means you keep over $255 in your pocket every single week compared to the national chains. Whether you need a simple economy car to navigate Deep Creek or a beastly V8 towing vehicle for your boat, our business model is built on transparency. We skip the corporate fluff and the hidden fees. With a low $50 deposit and a straightforward 2-week minimum, we provide the most affordable weekly car rental solution in the region. If you are tired of being treated like a line item on a balance sheet, it is time to switch. Stop overpaying for transportation and start investing your money back into your life here on the Gulf Coast. ### How do I secure a rental with Hooptie?
